Request a Connector
Let's build it for you - This is how to request a new connector
Don't try to build and manage connectors yourself. Your team has other priorities. Our program is simple. We have connector engineering and delivery down to a science. Look no further. We're you're team to collaborate with on getting your connector built - done!
We have two concepts for bulding connectors:
- Connector SDK - (driven by our customers or partners)
- Expedited connector development
Either approach will get you what you need.
What you get:
- Our team understands your source potential, requirements, and timeline
- Collaboratively work on access and priority elements, entities, tables
- A quick turnaround
- DLH support team that supports you and your connector on an on-going basis

What types of Connectors can you request Connector from DLH?
Most of the time we work with any type of connector source, target, database, REST API, etc. However we do see most requests coming for operational systems with REST, GraphQL or SOAP XML integrations - we do it all, typically:
- A connector we do not currently have listed, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it, it is that we haven't had tremendous customer demand for that system
- A challenging connector that works for enterprises
- A common connector for a specific industry - we take pride in learning the space and the tech
Why you should Request a Connector from DLH?
Obvious reasons if you are data engineering anything, but here are a few from a couple dozens responses:
- Speed to delivery
- Reduced Total Cost of Ownership
- Part of our ecosystem
- We know connectors, orchestration, and delivery - you might also but we are "who" that are experts at what we do
- So, may moving parts like extraction, CDC, cleansing, data integrity, ERDs, loading, target system specificity - let's go!
- No cost for roughly 90% of connectors we build
- oh, yes, you get to work with us!

What steps are in the process for requesting a Connector?
We keep it as simple as possible (KISS principle in effect), and though there is a bit of art to this science, we have connector building down to a science. It all starts with you submitting the form to get going with the request:
- Submit a Request for a Connector
- After you submitted your request, we're on it, so get ready for the next steps
- Quick Requirements Gathering
- Our solution engineers, use our intake form, toss a few questions your way and understanding the state of your current initiative need.
- This allows us to create a proper internal review and establish a timeline based on the connector specifics, challenges, and desired outcomes
- Timeline and Go-Ahead
- A quick turnaround gives you a spec on how long it will take for the development, and when you can begin testing the connector in DLH
- This includes a timeline for your testing and when we believe we can make a private preview and GA release
- You give the go ahead and we get going
- Connector Development and Access
- We start work on the connector - build, test, and document is what we'll do
- You'll provide us with any access required for the connector system, etc.
- Customer Preview and QA Testing
- We follow a good product and project management flow over here, so we get you access to connect in your DLH account for testing
- You provide feedback based on the timeline we established in the initial steps of the request.
- We iterate development and testing and in our timeframe
- GA Release - Let's go!!!!!!
- At this stage the connector is ready for your use
- We usually also release it in a slow roll-out to other customers if it is a non-private integration solution connector
- Documentation will be up and we support this connector for you 100%
- Any changes, enhancement requests, or issues we work on quickly - fully support
Timeframe: Most connectors 2 weeks to completion. More complicated onese fall into a 4-6 week timeframe end-to-end - Submit the Create a Connector Request Form
