SSO (Single Sign-On)

Using your organization's identity management authentication solution to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) for DLH.io is possible in DLH.io. We offer a self-service approach for your authentication tool adminstrator to securely setup your login system to DLH.io for a more seamless experience.

Which Identity Providers are Supported?

We feel that most major systems are supported for single sign-on configuration including:

• Google Workspace
• Okta
• Entra ID
• et al

Setup Self-Service Single Sign-On (SSO)

Self-Service Single Sign-On requires the administrator of your identity provider. If they do not currently have a login to your organizatin's DLH.io account then you will first want to invite them to your account, using the user invite process.

Following the steps below the IDP administrator can achieve the single sign-on setup:

1. Access the DLH SSO Setup area

   • Navigate to My Profile then select the Single Sign-On tab

2. Fill in the fields on the SSO form as follows:

   • Organization Identifier
     • Enter in the name of your organization in lowercase with no spaces
   • Corporate Email documentation
     • Enter your organization's top-level domain for your corporate email domain for which your users in your IDP autentication system are identified by, for example: companyname.com
   • Company / Organization Name
     • Enter in the full name of your organization

3. Click on the Generate Setup Link button

   • You will then see the area refresh with a link and a button to click to open the self-service page.

4. Click on the Open Setup Wizard button (or copy and paste the URL) to open the Self-Service SSO page

5. In the Self Service page click Next to go past the introduction page

6. In the Select Your Identity Provider step click on your Idp that will be used, then click Next:

7. Follow the instructions on this (Create an Application or Setup) page:

   • These are the core instructions for your step by step configuration for your particular Idp
   • You will open up your respective Idp administration page for your Idp account in a separate window or monitor to work from in order to follow along with the self service instructions. We recommend doing this all in one shot as the administrator of your Idp (ex: Okta) in order to update your Idp and then finalize by testing the SSO integration as recommnded.
   • Click the Next button on the self service page once you've completed the steps

8. As you return to the DLH page, Logout from your session using the logout button option in the profile header area

9. Log in again to the DLH.io Platform

   • now when you enter your email address, the button may change slightly, and when you click the button it will redirect you to your company's single sign on page
