The Aloha POS Agent is an Enterprise or higher plan solution which requires working with a DLH Account Manager to set up and explore your use case.
Setup Instructions
Set up instructions for the Aloha POS Agent are provided during the customer success trial period. We recommend that your Aloha Configuration Center administrator be involkved in the initial conversations and setup with assistance from our customer success and support team. The agent is quick and easy to setup. We recommend working with our success team to ensure setup is done correctly the first time as our team has expertise working with Aloha POS that can make the implementation easier for your team and to document the process as well.
Historical Loads
Similar to other connectors a historical load of data is conducted during the first data sync. Subsequent data syncs look to the current date of data within the current month to provide efficiency across large data systems implementation.
If a Historical Load of data is required, based on the configuration for the connection, you can use the options to limit the date from which the historical load is conducted. If the date of data you wish to retrieve is a previous month, or year you must update the path in the Folder Path field of the connection to be only of the Year or you may update the Month prefix of the path to the specific two-digit month number you seek for the historical data.
For example if today is August 15, 2025 and you need to recover or reload data from July 30, 2025, you can update the field in one of two way, and then run a Historical Re-sync (Historical Re-Load) from the Sync Bridge:
- Change it to the month sought, for example, .../*/{{ today() | format_date('YYYY') }}/07/
- Or, remove the month part of the path .../*/{{ today() | format_date('YYYY') }}/
Doing either of the above will allow the default of the historical load process to take place. For Aloha POS this is one month from the current date. To be more specific for the date required, one can also update the Historical Load Start Date option found in the Options tab of your source connection. Changing this the day of or a day prior to the date of the desired data will allow the data to be retrieved in correlation to the path of the data stored by year/month as mentioned above.
Connection Ancillary Configurations
Following the example, if we set this date to 07/29/2025 (it will auto save as you change it), and use one of the path change methods above then we will be able to retrieve the history for the file based on the taxonomy of the dated folder structure.
