DLH.io documentation for SharePoint
SharePoint Online is Microsoft's document management and collaboration platform, where teams keep spreadsheets, exports and reports in document libraries. DLH.io reads CSV, JSON and Excel files from a SharePoint document library folder and lands each file as a table in your destination, so reports that live in SharePoint can be analyzed with the rest of your data.
Pre-Requisites:
- A Microsoft Entra app registration in your own tenant (see the setup steps)
- The address of the SharePoint folder to read
Setup Instructions
Follow the setup steps guide for configuring your SharePoint connection to enable data to flow into your destination via DLH.

Details on Sync Processing
- Folder selection: you provide the Folder URL, copied from the browser address bar while the folder is open in SharePoint. The site, document library and folder are all read from that address. Sharing links are not supported. Supported hosts are
.sharepoint.com,.sharepoint.usand.sharepoint.cn. When the address does not name a document library,Shared Documentsis used. - Subfolders: included by default. Turn Include subfolders off in the SharePoint Folder card on the connection's Configurations tab to read only the files directly in the folder.
- Supported file types: CSV, JSON and Excel. Choose the File Type on the connection. Optionally add a File Pattern, a regular expression matched against each file path relative to the folder.
- How files become tables: each file name becomes a table, and files with the same name in different subfolders land in one table. The first row of each file is used as its column names.
- Full read by default: every synchronization downloads all matching files in the folder and replaces the table with their contents. A file removed from SharePoint therefore also disappears from your destination on the next run, and large folders take longer because every file is downloaded each time.
- Append only option: when enabled on the connection (and supported by your target), a run reads only files modified since the last completed sync, less a 10 minute overlap, and adds their rows to the existing table. A first run or a resync always reads the whole folder and replaces the table.
- Access: the connector reads files through Microsoft Graph with an app only token. It is read only and never writes to SharePoint.
- Rate limits: when Graph answers that it is throttling requests, the connector waits the time Graph names and retries.
- A connection stops working when its Entra client secret expires, so note the expiry date and create a new secret in time.
Issue Handling
If any issues occur with the connection simply return to the sources page in DLH.io, edit the source details and click the Save & Test button to confirm connectivity. If any issues persist please contact our support team via the DLH.io Support Portal.
Replicated Entities
Tables for this connector are dynamic: there is no fixed list. Each file name found in the selected folder (matching the File Type and File Pattern) becomes a table in your Target Connection, and the columns come from the first row of the file.
