MedlinePlus is an online health information resource for patients and their families and friends. It is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

DLH.io provides the best data synchronization process from MedlinePlus, into your Data Warehouse or Data Lake Storage so that you can integrate with your health and clinical data.

The Medline Plus data is updated daily, Tuesday-Saturday on the MedlinePlus.gov website. The data is available for English and Spanish health topics.

Instructions (Basic Connection Setup)

Using the form please complete the following basic steps:

1. Enter a Name or Alias for this connection, in the 'Name/Alias' field, that is unique from other connectors.
2. Enter in the 'Target Schema Prefix' field, a name that will be unique in your data cloud destination where you wish to land the data.
3. Click the Authorize Your Account button.

Replicated Entities

The following MedlinePlus entities are replicated to your target destination. These are the table names you will see:

• HEALTH_TOPICS
• TOPIC_GROUPS

Issue Handling

If any issues occur with the authorization simply return to the sources page in DLH.io, edit the source details and click the Save & Test or Authorize Your Account or Re-Authorize Account button to confirm connectivity. FAQ

Q: Why is there no new data on Sunday or Monday in my target database?

A: The MedlinePlus data is updated daily at 12am ET, Tuesday-Saturday from the MedlinePlus.gov website. MedLinePlus does not publish data on their website on Sunday and Monday.

Q: I scheduled my Sync Bridge to run every hour will I notice any new data?

A: You will not see any new data landed into your target destination unless the Sync Bridge runs afte 12am ET on Tues-Sat.
