DLH.io documentation for Blackboard
Blackboard is a widely used, web-based Learning Management System (LMS) designed for educational institutions and organizations to manage online, hybrid, and in-person courses. It facilitates content delivery, student-instructor communication, assignment submissions, grading, and assessments through a secure, virtual platform. DLH.io works with Blackboard and integrates data from its modules to provide data and information where you need it for your analytics, reporting, AI, and secure third-party information asset distribution.
Setup Guide
Blackboard uses a SQL Server database connector or a Oracle database connector as its underlying database structure to support the application. If you have questions about the Blackboard API, please let us know. But to integrate with a best practices approach, it is recommended to connect directly to the database itself for performance, manageability, and reduction of throttling requirements. This will save you time and energy. However, if you feel strongly about the API connection please contact us.
Issue Handling
If any issues or questions occur with starting your process to integrate Blackboard please contact our support team via the DLH.io Support Portal.
Schema Details (ER Diagram)
The Blackboard entity relationship diagram (ERD) provides you with information about what entities/tables DLH provides for you out-of-the-box and how they are related to one another. For the Blackboard connector please review your version's configuration, and request support as needed from the DLH.io support team.
