Setup Steps

DLH.io Setup Guide for Five9

Connector Pre-Requisites

Connecting to Five9, you need to make sure that you have:

  • A Five9 user for DLH.io, ideally a dedicated API Only user. Five9 ends username and password access for users migrated to the Five9 Identity Service, and for legacy authentication on July 15, 2027, so keep this user out of that migration.
  • The user has the Administrator role with the User can use Administrator Services permission, and the reporting permissions to view standard and custom reports.
  • The data center of your domain: US, Canada, EU or UK.

Instructions (Basic Connection Setup)

DLH.io connects to the Five9 Configuration Web Services over secure channels. This connection only ever reads and never changes anything in Five9.

Using the form please complete the following basic steps:

  1. Enter a Name or Alias for this connection, in the 'Name/Alias' field, that is unique from other connectors.
  2. Enter in the 'Target Schema Prefix' field, a name that will be unique in your data cloud destination database where you wish to land the data.
  3. Choose the Data Center and enter the Username and Password. Five9 locks a user after repeated failed logins, so check them before testing again after a failure.
  4. Click Save & Test to validate the connection.
  5. Optionally, on the connection details, set a Historical Start Date, and on the Configurations tab add your own reports under Five9 Reports with Add Report, giving the folder and report name, for example Public Reports and BI Report (All Data). Folder and report names are case sensitive. After you save, their tables are listed on the Schema tab.

How Data Is Synchronized

Configuration tables are read in full on every run. Reports are read for whole days in US Pacific time, and Five9 allows 120 report runs an hour per domain, so a first synchronization of a year takes a few hours. See the main overview for details.
