Setup Steps
DLH.io Setup Guide for Oracle Simphony
Prerequisites
Connecting to Oracle Simphony requires a Business Intelligence (BI) API account, which your Simphony administrator creates in the Enterprise Management Console (EMC). Before you begin, make sure that:
- A BI API account has been created and its first-time password has been set. A newly issued account will reject sign-in until the password has been changed once.
- The API account has Sales and Operations data access permissions.
- You have the Client ID issued for that API account.
- You know your Enterprise Short Name, a three character organization identifier.
- You have both the Authentication Server URL and the Application Server URL. These are different hosts.
Setup Instructions
DLH.io connects to the Simphony Business Intelligence API using OAuth 2.0. This connection is read only and never writes data back to Simphony.
- Enter a Name or Alias for this connection, in the Name/Alias field, that is unique from other connectors.
- Enter in the Target Schema Prefix field, a name that will be unique in your target destination where you wish to land the data.
- Enter the Application Server URL, for example https://simphony-home.yourcluster.oraclerestaurants.com. This is the data host.
- Enter the Authentication Server URL, for example https://ors-idm.yourcluster.oraclerestaurants.com.
- Enter your Enterprise Short Name, the three character organization identifier.
- Enter the Client ID issued for your BI API account.
- Enter the BI API account User Name and Password.
- Click the Save & Test button to validate the connection. DLH.io will authenticate and confirm that at least one location is visible to the API account.
If any issues occur with authentication, return to the sources page in DLH.io, edit this source, and click the Save & Test button again. If any issues persist please contact our support team via the DLH.io Support Portal.
